FAQ

The most common questions that come up throughout the tree service process:

Is there a cost for the estimate?

No, all estimates are free of charge. Call our office and we can arrange to have an estimator meet you at your property, or if you can’t be home, we can stop by, take a look, and send you an estimate in your email.

Each estimator can take 15 appointments a day. We can usually schedule an appointment within a few days. Spring and summer can, however, be very busy so it may take a little longer.

We guarantee our price for 6 months, unless a different term is specified in writing by the estimator.

We can take cash or check. We have a cost-sharing fee of 3.5% of your bill when you use a credit card. There is no fee for using debit cards.

This is a very good question, and should be asked of every contractor you are thinking of hiring. We are licensed through every City and County that we work in with separate licenses for each locality. We will be glad to provide copies of our licenses at your request. We are also fully insured with liability, vehicle insurance and Workers Compensation. We will be happy to provide you with proof of insurance. Please always make sure to ask for proof of insurance before a contractor comes on your property to work.
We do not use spikes to climb trees that we are pruning. We will only use spikes if we are taking down the tree.
Yes there are occasions that pesticides are required for the optimum health of the tree. If your tree is healthy it can likely withstand an attack from common insects. It is always important to maintain your tree’s health with regular pruning and fertilizing to keep it strong and healthy. When you do need pesticides rely on our expertise to be able to choose the safest pesticide for the job, and we will always handle it with care on your property.
Topping is no longer a recommended pruning method to cut a tree down in height. It is actually harmful to the health of the tree. Your estimator can discuss other methods of pruning to maintain a certain height, and to try to repair trees that have been damaged by topping.

In our environment, you can prune most trees anytime. Depending on how much you want to remove from a tree, we may suggest trimming in dormant weather.

You can fertilize your trees annually or even a little more frequently, depending on your desired objective. The critical thing is proper watering. If your tree is not properly watered, fertilizers may cause more
harm than good. Call the Arborista or check out our watering document on the Tree Diagnosis tab.
